  • Until 1923 Kalkan was a Greek Fishing Village. Today it is a sophisticated and Cosmopolitan town set at the foot of the Taurus mountains on the Turquoise Coast.
The narrow cobbled streets snake down to the picturesque harbour at the bottom of the town. Scuba Diving and day trips on local Gullets can be booked from the harbour.
  • Kalkan has Butchers' Shops, Fish Shops, a couple of small supermarkets and daily fresh fruit and vegetable stalls for grocery shopping. A market is held once a week, excellent for Turkish Spices.
  • The town boasts over 40 excellent restaurants offering an eclectic choice of dishes from Turkish to International Cuisine. A shopper's paradise with the opportunity to strolling through the streets after dinner.
  • There are many Beach Clubs in and around Kalkan. The nearest to the Villa is Mahal which offers water sports (in season), superb meals and bar snacks.
  • Rental Cars and Taxis are available in the town.
